Mark Longhurst
Product and Project Manager
My current assignment includes product and project management for the newly created CES Network Center. Currently working to standardize the network products and infrastructure across three campuses. Project assignments include upgrading the core and distribution at BYU and upgrading the wireless systems at BYUI and BYUH.
Prior employment includes working as the director at Aspen Grove Family Camp managing full time and student employees while providing a wonderful guest experience for alumni of BYU. Each year I would manage multiple construction, technology, and improvement projects. I was the manager of information systems at Aspen Grove that included managing all technology including; database administration, networking, web site administration, programming, computer support, and managing POS operations.

Arlene Sewell
BYU Apps Product Manager
Graduated from BYU-Hawaii with my Bachelor degree in Information Systems minor in Business Administration and Master’s from Colorado Technical University in Information Systems Security.
Currently assigned as the product manager for the mobile app, high productivity, and custom teams under the direction of Russ Scadden and Paul Eden.
Prior employment includes working as the Director of Information Technology at Dixie State University which involved managing projects campus wide with the AV and network teams. Managed the customer support and inventory teams. Engaged with campus partners to provide for their technical needs. Other experience includes working in the office of information technology in various roles for the American Samoa Community College, Blue Sky Communications (Telecom), Children’s Hospital in San Diego (Healthcare).

Dave Horne
Solutions Consultant for the Application Support Group (ASG)
I support a variety of initiatives and projects for BYU’s Financial Business and Administrative Offices helping to streamline data processing, support project implementations and reduce maintenance of processes and systems. Previously I was a director in OIT responsible for supporting some of BYU’s ERP application environments including: Human Resources, University Financials, Student Financials, OIT Financials, etc. I received a B.S. degree in Financial Programming from BYU in 1989 with a focus on Accounting, Business Management and Computer Science.
Prior experience includes PeopleSoft Developer/Consultant, Development and Product Manager for Novell’s Identity Manager, Director of Training for Identity Management, Director of Consulting for WingateWeb/Active Network and Database Administrator. I have had a variety of experience implementing in-house developed projects, as well as, 3rdparty applications on premise as well as Cloud Base. My experience with WingateWeb taught me the importance of customer service and meeting commitments with deadlines that contains zero flexibility. I enjoy the opportunity to help others learn and become self-sufficient in their work.

Debbie Christoffersen

I received my BS degree in Psychology from BYU in 2009, and am currently working on my Masters degree in Technology (Construction Management emphasis) with a graduation date of April 2020. My previous work experience ranges from housekeeper to treatment center staff to facility management, but all of my work centers around building strong, supportive relationships with customers. I came to OIT after several years as the Assistant Facility Manager of the Harold B. Lee Library.
